Musk: Has moved into an RV to supervise the xAI Memphis data center
Elon Musk stated that he has moved into an Airstream trailer near the xAI Memphis data center to personally participate in the construction of SpaceX's Colossus project, saving commuting time. He has been stationed in Memphis for the past few months as SpaceX accelerates the deployment of more GPUs. Earlier this year, SpaceX acquired xAI, transforming into a company that balances aerospace and artificial intelligence, with the Memphis Colossus being one of its flagship data centers.
SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell mentioned that this aligns with Musk's style, including sleeping in factory workshops or building houses on-site. Musk's net worth is $917 billion. Colossus is set to begin construction in 2024, with initial construction lasting 122 days, and the remaining computing power is being leased to clients such as Google and Anthropic for billions of dollars.
