Cardano development company IOG warns users not to engage with its YouTube channel
The Cardano development company Input Output Group (IOG) issued a warning on its official X account, urging users to temporarily avoid interacting with its YouTube channel. The channel began streaming a video of Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson that is suspected to have been altered by AI, discussing a cryptocurrency giveaway event, and by the time of the report, the stream had been ongoing for nearly two hours.
It is reported that the live stream encourages viewers to scan a QR code and promises to "double their wealth." IOG stated in the warning, "Please avoid interacting with the IO Group YouTube channel until further notice," and advised users not to click on links in the channel, not to transfer funds, or share personal information.
