Bloomberg: China's export-oriented technology stocks have returned 36% this year
Bloomberg reported that China's push for a leading position in global AI is increasingly benefiting companies that supply products to other regions of the world. Investors favor such stocks, while intense competition harms peers that rely more on the domestic market.
Bloomberg tracks an index of 30 Chinese tech stocks with the largest overseas revenue exposure, which has a return rate of 36% this year, compared to a return rate of 9% for stocks that rely more on local sales. Export-oriented companies are expected to achieve the strongest performance reading ever this year compared to another group.
