The United States and China agreed to establish the China-U.S. Trade Council

The head of the U.S. and Canada Division of the Ministry of Commerce interprets the results of the eighth round of China-U.S. economic and trade consultations. Both China and the U.S. agree to establish a China-U.S. Trade Council under the China-U.S. economic and trade consultation mechanism, with the main task of optimizing bilateral trade. The economic and trade teams of both sides have reached a consensus on the council's tasks, structure, responsibilities, and consultation arrangements, which will be announced later.
