Tencent secretly tests AI game companion product E-Cosmic

According to the WeChat public account DuJia, Tencent is secretly testing an AI game companion product called Goose Dimension, which focuses on digital human AI partners, providing capabilities such as voice conversation, real-time image recognition, and game companionship. The product features multiple virtual characters with different personalities, including female characters Gu Yu, Shen Lu Bai, and Xia Xia, which are available for selection. After users choose a character, they can chat casually or activate the game companion mode, which DuJia claims is compatible with many mainstream online games.

DuJia uses the character Xia Xia as an example to introduce the product interface. The main interface displays the digital human image and a self-introduction of the character, who is set to be talkative and not aloof, and claims to be a bronze-level expert. The left side has options for time, desktop pet, and skill entry; the time feature is used to freeze the screen and can be set as a desktop wallpaper, while the desktop pet allows the character to be displayed as a dynamic cartoon or static comic image on the desktop. The bottom provides text input, voice calls, and voice input, and the top left corner allows users to return to the character selection page. In game companion mode, users can have real-time conversations during gameplay, and the character will automatically respond with voice.

DuJia states that all functions of Goose Dimension are temporarily free during the internal testing period and do not consume energy, but the interface has revealed a billing framework for exchanging energy with star coins. The rules listed in the pop-up for the official version show that text conversations, game companionship, voice calls, and image generation will consume energy based on rounds, per minute, or per image. Energy can be exchanged for star coins, with a minimum consumption of 10 star coins per transaction, and quick selection options are provided. Currently, during the internal testing phase, the star coin balance and energy values have no practical effect.
