Former Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Sentenced for Assisting Crypto Trader in Extortion

Former Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Saavedra was sentenced to 21 months in prison. The court found that he used law enforcement databases to assist a cryptocurrency trader in carrying out a extortion scheme.
