TSMC plans to build a second manufacturing facility in Texas
TSMC is considering expanding its production layout in the United States, planning to build a second manufacturing base in Dallas, Texas, which may include up to 6 advanced wafer fabs.
The total investment for the new wafer fabs may exceed the $265 billion that TSMC has committed to invest in its Arizona facility.
TSMC has not yet made a formal response to this news.
