Alpaca's Singapore subsidiary received in-principle approval for a capital markets services license from MAS
According to an official announcement from Alpaca, its Southeast Asia headquarters, Alpaca Securities Pte. Ltd., has received in-principle approval for a Capital Markets Services (CMS) license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
Once the relevant conditions are met and the formal license is obtained, the company plans to offer brokerage and custody services in Singapore, targeting financial institutions and fintech companies in Southeast Asia. Alpaca emphasizes that in-principle approval does not equate to a formal license, and related services cannot be launched based on this approval at this time.
