Australia's ASIC plans to launch a new regulatory framework in April 2027 to regulate digital asset and tokenized asset custody platforms
According to The Block, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) is preparing to regulate digital asset and tokenized asset custody platforms under a regulatory framework set to launch in April 2027.
The regulator stated that it will issue consultation papers, guidance, and draft rules while monitoring market integrity and risk management.
