Aptos Labs: Launched MonoMove, execution engine running smart contracts speed increased by up to 55 times

Aptos Labs announced the launch of MonoMove, which is the largest proposed upgrade in the history of the Aptos blockchain execution engine. Aptos Labs stated that internal testing shows that MonoMove can run smart contracts up to 55 times faster than existing systems.

On its fully incubated on-chain trading platform Decibel, the speed of collateral withdrawal is increased by up to 55 times, and the order placement speed is increased by up to 22 times.
