Samsung Wallet will launch USDC on the Sui network at the end of October

Samsung Electronics America announced that Samsung Wallet will launch a stablecoin wallet feature for eligible Galaxy users in the United States in the last week of October, initially supporting the US dollar stablecoin USDC, with blockchain infrastructure partner Sui. This feature will cover 82 million Galaxy devices in the U.S., launching first in the U.S. and later expanding to other markets.

Sui's gas-free stablecoin transfers allow USDC to be transferred on Sui with zero network fees, enabling users to complete transactions without needing to purchase or hold SUI first. Initially, USDC is the only supported asset, and SUI tokens are not supported. Woncheol Chai, head of the digital wallet team for Samsung Electronics' mobile experience business, stated that introducing USDC transfers into Samsung Wallet allows eligible Galaxy users to use it without installing other applications or managing private keys themselves.

Native USDC will go live on Sui in 2024, followed by integration with Circle's cross-chain transfer protocol. Since August 2025, Sui has processed over $1 trillion in stablecoin transfer volume and continues to enhance payment infrastructure and stablecoin integration in markets such as Africa, Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America.
