On October 8, Gate Executive Director Edwin Cheung attended the Hack Seasons Conference and participated in the roundtable discussion themed "The Payment Rails of 2030." He exchanged ideas with representatives from Mercuryo, Mastercard, Hashgraph, Nethermind, and other institutions regarding the development of payment infrastructure by 2030 and the integration of digital assets with traditional payment systems.
Edwin Cheung stated that new participants such as wallets, exchanges, stablecoins, blockchain, and AI Agents are entering the payment system, and trading platforms are taking on more financial service functions. Gate recently launched Gate Money, which integrates fiat currency, digital assets, stocks, and asset management into a single account system, accelerating the connection between assets and payment scenarios.
The roundtable discussion focused on the construction of future payment network infrastructure, institutional participation, and digital asset payments. Edwin Cheung mentioned that Gate has collaborated with multiple banks and financial institutions and continues to build a global payment network to support the connection of digital assets, traditional finance, and payment scenarios for businesses like Gate Money, and will continue to explore the integration of payments, asset management, and diversified financial services in the future.
