According to NADA NEWS, the Financial Services Agency (FSA) of Japan has requested financial institutions, including cryptocurrency exchanges, to promptly stop using images of documents such as driver's licenses for identity verification (KYC) and to switch to a new verification method that reads integrated circuit (IC) chip information through smart devices.
