Global bank precious metals trading revenue may set a record of 5 billion USD
Driven by fluctuations in gold and silver prices and active trading by investors, global banks are expected to achieve approximately $5 billion in precious metals trading revenue in 2026, setting a new historical high.
JPMorgan earned about $700 million from precious metals trading in the first half of the year, while Deutsche Bank's related revenue exceeded $200 million this year. Citigroup has become the first bank in ten years to join the London gold market vault and clearing services.
