OPEC+ warns that high energy transportation costs are affecting the global economy
Ministers from OPEC and non-OPEC oil-producing countries met in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining stability in the oil market through a joint mechanism. OPEC+ stated that disruptions in energy transportation have caused shipping and insurance costs to exceed one-third of the value of commodities, hindering the transportation of crude oil and refined products, and increasing inflationary pressures on the global economy. Countries will continue to monitor the situation and cooperate with international organizations to improve shipping conditions.
