Base launches a stablecoin yield and crypto collateral lending solution for the platform
According to the Base official website and official X account, the Ethereum L2 network Base has launched the Earn & Borrow program, providing an end-to-end technology stack for the platform, enabling it to offer floating rate stablecoin yields and crypto asset collateralized loans to eligible users based on Base infrastructure and third-party lending markets.
The yields from depositing stablecoins such as USDC primarily come from the excess collateral loan interest paid by borrowers, and can connect to lending protocols like Morpho and Aave. The official website shows that the average yield for US dollar stablecoins in the Base lending market is 4.45% (excluding incentives).
