Galaxy Digital Research Director: Over half of BTC belongs to unknown addresses, while individual holdings still dominate under the trend of institutionalization
Galaxy Digital Research Director Alex Thorn stated that over half of the BTC supply is located in addresses of unknown ownership. Despite the trend of institutionalization and centralized holdings in recent years, there is still a massive (possibly even the majority of) amount of Bitcoin being self-custodied by individuals.
