BlackRock: Cryptocurrency assets rebound in Q3, reaching a scale of 79.6 billion USD
According to CoinDesk, BlackRock's digital asset management scale surged from $48.8 billion to $79.6 billion in the third quarter, a quarter-over-quarter increase of 63%. During this period, there was a net inflow of $7.9 billion, reversing the net outflow of $2.2 billion in the first half of the year.
This round of growth was primarily driven by rising market prices, with market capitalization gains contributing $22.9 billion and new investor funds contributing $7.9 billion. Nevertheless, the current scale is still 23% lower than the peak of approximately $104 billion in the same period last year, with a market value shrinkage of $30.6 billion over the past 12 months.
During the quarter, BlackRock's digital asset products (including the iShares Bitcoin Trust IBIT) recorded a total of $39 million in fees and securities lending income.
