Algorand Foundation CSMO resigns, CTO and former CEO have left
According to Crypto Briefing, Marc Vanlerberghe, the Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer of the public blockchain Algorand Foundation, resigned on October 14. He joined the foundation as Chief Marketing Officer in March 2024 and held the title of Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer at the time of his departure, serving for about two and a half years.
Previously, the foundation's Chief Technology Officer Bruno Martins left around October 9. Former CEO Staci Warden stepped down in August this year, and William Herkelrath took over on August 31, with the foundation officially announcing this on September 9.
Reports indicate that the new CEO is re-evaluating the foundation's projects and partnerships, aiming to promote institutional adoption and financial sustainability. The foundation previously disclosed that it had reduced its team size by about 25% in the first quarter of 2026.
