Google announces breakthrough results in quantum computing, potentially escalating quantum threats
Google announced a breakthrough in the field of quantum computing, stating that its Willow chip has overcome a critical resource bottleneck.
Google stated that a technology called magic state cultivation is now running on the Willow chip, reducing errors by approximately 40 times and achieving an accuracy of 99.99%. This research was published in the journal Science, and Google also mentioned that it still needs to prove the effectiveness of this technology under large-scale conditions.
