Arthur Hayes: The threat of quantum computing to cryptocurrency is exaggerated; users only need to pay attention to wallet management
Arthur Hayes recently stated in an interview with The Rollup that the threat of quantum computing to cryptocurrencies is exaggerated, being a known and manageable risk rather than a reason to sell.
Hayes believes that the truly practical protection lies in address hygiene, which means avoiding address reuse, using updated signature types, and so on. Most risks are concentrated among those who manage their addresses poorly. Hayes does not believe that quantum computing is a catalyst for panic or selling Bitcoin at this time.
