BNB Treasury Company appointed former YZi Labs investment partner Alex Odagiu as CEO

According to official news, BNB Standard Corporation (BNC) has announced the appointment of Alex Odagiu as the new CEO. Public information shows that Alex Odagiu joined YZi Labs in September 2021, starting as an investment manager and was promoted to investment partner in September 2025.

During his time at YZi Labs, he was mainly responsible for Web3-related investments, covering DeFi, payments, stablecoins, RWA, and the intersection of AI and cryptocurrency, and served as a mentor and judge for the BNB Chain MVB Accelerator across 10 seasons. He also participated in the EASY Residency incubation program and has invested in projects such as Avalon, Aspecta, Canton, Hemi, Concrete, Mysten Labs, and Aptos.

In June 2026, he was appointed as the interim president and director of BNB Standard Corporation. On October 19, 2026, he officially took on the role of CEO of the company and resigned from all positions at YZi Labs, including investment partner and related positions on the investment committee. In June of this year, YZi Labs reached an agreement with the then BNB Standard Corporation CEA Industries (now BNC) to resolve governance differences and jointly promote management adjustments.
