Two super tankers hit mines and exploded in the Strait of Hormuz
The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy announced that on the 23rd local time, two super tankers attempting to illegally cross the southern Strait of Hormuz hit mines and exploded. The explosion caused the engine room to be incapacitated, the tankers were carrying over 4.5 million barrels of crude oil, and the crew had abandoned the ship to escape.
