This article introduces two theories of system development—fractal hierarchy and social networks—pointing out that a company can only utilize one of these dynamics and becomes increasingly rigid until it perishes. In contrast, a DAO can leverage both dynamics like a city, fostering creativity and innovation on one hand, while scaling creation and innovation on the other.
