SUKU 2.0 Strategic Upgrade: All in Web3
Introduction
In the first half of 2022, the SUKU project achieved a series of new milestones: establishing a metaverse alliance with brands like McLaren, listing on exchanges such as Huobi and MEXC, sponsoring and organizing various events like hackathons and blockchain summits, as well as cross-industry collaborations related to NFTs with traditional brands. At the beginning of June, SUKU will undergo a comprehensive strategic and brand upgrade, entering the SUKU 2.0 era. SUKU founder Yonathan Lapchik wrote a letter detailing how SUKU will go all in on Web3 after years of planning, bringing about a new SUKU revolution.
Overview
SUKU firmly believes that Web3 is a driver of permanent change. While our mission remains unchanged, to accelerate the adoption of Web3, we will continue to adapt and evolve in our direction to better serve this mission.
The world is changing rapidly, and our goal is to fully leverage the unique value of blockchain, constantly seeking newer and better ways to enhance the interconnection, sharing, and trading among Web3 participants.
At this stage, Web3 is just getting started, and there is still some distance to our ideal goals. Its current state is fragmented and isolated, with slow network growth, insufficient incentives, and an inability to fully realize its potential. Moreover, it remains an overly complex system. All of these are just a small part of the many obstacles that Web3 needs to overcome before being accepted by the mainstream.
What we see is not only a tremendous business opportunity but also an urgent sense of the numerous challenges that need to be addressed. Much of what we build in this industry today will largely serve as the foundation for the next generation of the internet. Therefore, we have decided to broaden our vision and focus on improving the areas in Web3 that we believe will have the greatest impact on increasing adoption.
SUKU aims to create an ecosystem that connects the Web3 community, providing simple yet powerful tools and incentives for rapid and sustainable growth, while opening up a range of unique experiences that deliver real value—all supported by SUKU.
Introduction
Since the founding of SUKU, we have been exploring ways to enhance the interaction, sharing, and trading experience between people and brands using decentralized technology.
Today, we are excited to share our development blueprint with everyone, which we believe will help us move quickly towards our goal of achieving true large-scale adoption of Web3, where it will be decentralized, inclusive, collaborative, unified, and fun.
Let us first take a look back at the journey SUKU has taken.
Looking Back
Our journey at SUKU began with the search for a way to apply blockchain technology in the supply chain sector—still one of the most mainstream verticals with the highest application rate of blockchain technology—by providing traceability solutions that showcase the production process of products in a trustless manner.
Next, we began exploring authenticity verification models, applying NFTs to the physical world, providing a new way to showcase the true creators behind digital products, artworks, and assets, solving the counterfeit problem that plagues the retail and collectibles industries. As we explored ownership models, it became clear that the lifecycle of physical products could be extended into the virtual world through NFTs.
InfiniteWorld was initially one of the products within the SUKU ecosystem, born from this intersection of the virtual and physical worlds. Today, we are immensely proud to see InfiniteWorld—an important member of our current ecosystem—become a preferred solution for brands and creators, helping them join the digital revolution known as the metaverse and aiding their growth.
Throughout our exploration and expansion in various fields within Web3, we have encountered many complex and significant challenges—challenges that we have now decided to tackle one by one.
Facing Challenges
Here is an overview of some of the fundamental issues currently facing Web3 that SUKU aims to address:
1. Fragmentation & Isolation
In Web3, the NFT space is particularly isolated and disconnected. There are over 80,000 NFT collections on Ethereum alone, with very few interconnected, minimal interaction, and often requiring unique incentive mechanisms.
Once a community becomes isolated, it cannot go far. For large-scale adoption, Web3 needs to undergo a globalization phase—moving towards interconnection and collaboration. Only when it becomes an interoperable network between communities, applications, and platforms can it meet the demands and expectations of the World Wide Web.
SUKU Connects
For SUKU, to solve this problem, our goal is to facilitate connections and collaborations through tools that any Web3 participant, creator, or community can easily use and integrate, as well as an interoperability layer. By joining a larger ecosystem, all participants will be incentivized to interact with other communities, greatly exceeding what they could achieve in isolated ecosystems, making the space richer, more beneficial, engaging, and sticky.
2. Insufficient Incentives & Benefits
Web3 encompasses a wide range of areas, including the metaverse, gaming, NFTs, DeFi, DAOs, and more. So far, most communities and creators seeking to attract audiences in Web3 have done so with great imagination, but the infrastructure is limited.
There are almost no practical NFT collections that can fully utilize Web3's capabilities. This leads to slow growth of project participants, poor experiences, and worse, it may completely alienate people from Web3.
SUKU Incentivizes
For SUKU, our goal is to provide creators and communities with a shared and vast economic layer that enables them to quickly traverse established paths, unleash real utility, implement various mechanisms like "X-and-Earn," and introduce interoperability for other communities, elevating their experiences to new levels for sustainable growth.
3. Complexity & High Barriers to Entry
Keys, mnemonics, cryptography, wallets, DAOs, NFTs, etc. People's impressions of Web3 are stuck on high-tech jargon and poor user experiences, making it difficult to spark interest in using platforms and their applications. This clearly hinders the promotion and adoption of Web3.
Only when Web3 becomes easy for most people and when a large number of Web3 companies focus on ordinary internet users rather than those well-versed in Web3, will we see explosive growth in this field.
SUKU Drives
For these reasons, we at SUKU will continue to develop user-friendly tools, such as wallets, platforms, protocols, and education, that anyone can use to enter Web3, navigate it, and grow within it.
Looking Ahead: Fueling Web3 Together
Getting to the point, let’s look forward to the new directions for SUKU's expansion.
Declaration
We are on a mission to accelerate the true adoption of Web3—a decentralized, interoperable, unified, and incredibly fun Web3.
To achieve this goal, we will build a Web3 community ecosystem that everyone can participate in and connect to, while empowering and creating tools that promote sustainable public community growth.
We are as great as what we create.
Let us connect freely and expand infinitely.
Let us unite and build the best Web3 together.
SUKU—An Ecosystem for All Web3 Communities
SUKU is an economically shared ecosystem powered by SUKU, bringing together the Web3 community and providing simple yet powerful tools for collaboration, opening applications, and achieving sustainable development.
We will co-build the ecosystem with the following five extraordinary partners, with more collaborations to come:
Focus Areas
Driving all of Web3 is our primary focus, but the planning will initially concentrate on areas with significant influence and application potential: NFTs, the metaverse, gaming, and DeFi.
New Goals, New Brand Identity & Website
We are excited to unveil a new brand identity and website.
As a general business principle, rebranding should only occur when absolutely necessary, especially concerning brand identity, which is typically one of the most valuable assets within an organization. This raises the question: why rename? For us, it is crucial to reflect our new direction and goals in our brand identity.
Heraclitus said, "The only constant is change." We have grown, and this growth requires us to make changes. We welcome you to embrace the new SUKU brand image.
What It Represents
- SUKU Ecosystem: Our shared space that promotes unity; connecting all worlds.
- SUKU Sun: The economic layer at the center of the universe, powering the ecosystem.
SUKU is the "sun" and also our "universe." It is a dynamic and flexible place that can adapt to various needs, which is why our ISO will become a fundamental part of our entire identity, permeating every interaction and communication.
We have designed a color palette that symbolizes revelation and illumination, and we hope to be the focal point of that light, marking the path to the future. This scheme features complementary colors that can change dynamically.
We will also incorporate dynamic gradients as another element of the SUKU universe.
All these strategic and design decisions reflect our holistic view for Web3, built for the community, and for our coexistence.
We sincerely hope that everyone will love and embrace our new brand identity as much as we do.
Conclusion
We believe that Web3 is a decentralized internet owned and managed by all of us (the users), capable of taking us to another level of social order and significantly enhancing human interaction and business exchanges. However, this field is still in its early stages and full of challenges.
The development of Web3 will depend on the resolution of the issues mentioned above. We believe that SUKU—a neutral and fair ecosystem that promotes connections between communities and facilitates collaboration through simple and practical tools—can play a significant role at this turning point.
Our team has always been optimistic, and we firmly believe that the future of Web3 is bright. But for that to happen, we need to make it interconnected, decentralized, inclusive, interoperable, and unified. We have come to this shore to reach the other side faster and to enjoy the journey along the way.
Thank you all for joining us; let’s walk this path together!
