ChainCatcher news reports that, according to information disclosed by Wefunder, the crypto custody startup Derisk, founded by former Meta employees, is raising funds on the Wefunder platform with a target of $1.2 million. They have currently raised $1,017,126, with investors including institutional investors such as Lombardstreet Ventures, Pioneer Fund, Stonks Fund, Xoogler Fund, as well as angel investors like executives from Brigit and Strikingly.
Derisk uses custody infrastructure and leverages multi-party computation (MPC) encryption to help clients shard, protect, monitor, and manage keys, enhancing the security of digital asset storage, protection, and movement for Web3 companies. MPC was established by the former Facebook Novi Wallet team. Derisk is also one of the Y Combinator Summer 2022 incubated companies, and in addition to raising funds through the Wefunder platform, they are seeking external financing at a valuation of $15 million.
