ChainCatcher news, Solana-based music management simulation game developer Blockstars has announced the completion of a new $5 million round of equity and token financing, led by Future Fund under Play Ventures, with participation from Makers Fund, Solana, Magic Eden, Merit Circle, and Citizen X. The company is considering using artificial intelligence and blockchain integration technology to create songs and will explore the production of more Web3 games in the future.

It is reported that Blockstars was formerly known as the in-car voice-driven game developer Drivetime, which pivoted during the pandemic to start building blockchain games and completed its rebranding. Blockstars is developing a game of the same name, where players can create, record, and release singles and participate in music competitions, with winners able to earn native token ROC rewards.
