Zuckerberg: Optimistic about the long-term prospects of the metaverse, but Meta needs to improve operational efficiency in the short term
ChainCatcher news, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated at the New York Times DealBook Summit in New York City that he remains optimistic about the metaverse for the next five to ten years. However, due to macroeconomic issues, Meta needs to achieve higher operational efficiency and stricter discipline in the short term.
Zuckerberg mentioned that 80% of Meta's time is spent on traditional social media applications, including Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and other apps, while the remaining time is dedicated to developing hardware and software related to the metaverse. Currently, Meta's Reality Labs focuses on the development of three types of metaverse projects: virtual reality, augmented reality, and social platforms. (Source link)
