OpenSea will transfer ownership of the on-chain creator royalty enforcement tool
ChainCatcher news, OpenSea's official Twitter announced that it will transfer ownership of the on-chain creator royalty enforcement tool Operator Filter Registry to a multi-signature controlled by the "Creator Ownership Research Institute (CORI)" before January 2, 2023. Currently, the on-chain creator fee enforcement optional tool Operator Filter is in version 1, and version 2 will first decentralize the management and governance of the Registry, initially by granting control to CORI. CORI's mission is to govern the existing Operator Filter Registry and its related rules in a public and transparent manner, and in the future, it will focus on developing improved mechanisms for enforcing creator fees.
It is reported that the Creator Ownership Research Institute (CORI) was initially created by ZORA, OpenSea, Manifold, Foundation, SuperRare, and Nifty Gateway, aiming to fund and create improved mechanisms for creator ownership tools and to manage these tools transparently. (Source link)
