SBF's lawyer: The judge should allow SBF to meet with FTX-related personnel to "provide assistance" for his case
ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg, SBF's lawyer Mark Cohen requested the federal judge overseeing the case to allow SBF to meet with some individuals involved with FTX, stating that SBF needs to participate in his defense. Cohen insisted that SBF did not attempt to influence witnesses in the fraud case against him by the U.S. government and accused prosecutors of trying to "portray him in the worst possible light."
Cohen stated that SBF's use of Signal to contact FTX US's current general counsel, who is a witness, was "merely a harmless attempt to provide assistance in the FTX bankruptcy proceedings and does not reflect any improper conduct that would warrant the government imposing restrictions here."
