ChainCatcher news, two insiders revealed that the artificial intelligence startup Anthropic has raised $300 million at a pre-money valuation of $4.1 billion, led by Spark Capital. One insider mentioned that prior to this deal, Google invested $400 million in the startup.

The new funding for Anthropic will increase the $1.1 billion raised from early investors, including Google, Skype founding engineer Jaan Tallinn, and former FTX CEO SBF. It is currently unclear whether the new valuation represents a significant premium over Anthropic's valuation in April 2022. Anthropic had previously indicated to some potential investors that it hoped for a valuation of at least $5 billion.

Previous report indicated that in January of this year, insiders revealed that the artificial intelligence startup Anthropic was about to raise approximately $300 million in new funding, which could value Anthropic at around $5 billion, although the final valuation was not confirmed. Anthropic was founded in 2021, raised $124 million in Series A funding in 2021, and secured $580 million in Series B funding led by former FTX CEO SBF in 2022. (The Information)
