According to ChainCatcher news and data from Dune Analytics, the total minting of Bitcoin.sats domain names developed based on the Ordinals protocol has surpassed 60,000, with the number of unique domain names reaching 48,600 after deduplication, and the number of unique minting addresses approaching 26,200, generating fees of 120 million SATS.

Sats Names is a standard that uses ordinals to write names into Bitcoin, aiming to establish a domain name ecosystem for Bitcoin. The first domain name, "helloworld.sats," was registered on February 22, 2023. Registering and updating domain names only requires Bitcoin transactions, and only Bitcoin transactions. Bitcoin nodes contain all the information needed to implement the status of all domain names. No other databases or trusted services are required. Any client can independently calculate the true status of all domain names.
