Binance New IEO: Space ID Project Introduction

On March 16, Binance officially announced the upcoming launch of its 30th Launchpad project, Binance Launchpad will launch Space ID (ID) and open a BNB special session. This sale will be based on an investment model, and Binance will determine the user's investment quota based on the user's average daily BNB holdings over a 5-day period. The BNB holding snapshot period is from 08:00 AM on March 17, 2023, to 08:00 AM on March 22, 2023 (UTC+8).

SPACE ID was established in April 2022 and is a decentralized domain service protocol dedicated to building a universal naming service network that seamlessly connects people, information, assets, and applications across blockchains. It also allows users to bind their identities across multiple chains, and communities can build their own domain services through the SPACE ID network. As of now, more than 40 applications have announced support for integrating the SPACE ID protocol.

In August 2022, SPACE ID launched the ".bnb" domain service on the BNB Chain and quickly gained approximately 361,000 registrations and 168,000 unique domain holders within 6 months. After the popularity of the ".bnb" domain, SPACE ID released version 2.0 and launched the ".arb" domain service on Arbitrum earlier this year. Currently, ".bnb", ".eth", and ".arb" domains can be traded on the Space ID official website.

SPACE ID 2.0 provides a one-stop Web3 domain and identity platform for discovering, registering, trading, and managing Web3 domains. It also includes a Web3 domain SDK & API aimed at cross-chain developers and offers multi-chain domain services for everyone, making it easy for anyone to create a Web3 identity. It mainly supports the following four aspects:

1. Discovery: As a central hub, it allows users to search for desired domain names across all supported top-level domains (TLDs) and discover popular domain collections, while also supporting features like auto-suggestions and quick domain registration status checks;

2. Registration: Users can register all Web3 domains on the SPACE ID mainnet, with ".bnb" and ".eth" domains being the first two top-level domains supported in the initial version of the mainnet;

3. Trade: A market specifically designed for trading Web3 domains, featuring aggregated liquidity from other NFT markets (such as OpenSea);

4. Management: A single integrated portal for managing the renewal, records, and ownership of all Web3 domains owned by users;

Additionally, "One SDK for all" is also one of the main features of SPACE ID. This design aims to achieve architectural unification to simplify the integration process of Web3 services, eliminating the need for developers to deal with multiple protocols, thus saving time and reducing compatibility risks. In SPACE ID 2.0, the Web3 Name SDK has more powerful features than ever before—project parties can better engage with users by utilizing custom domains.
