According to ChainCatcher's message, the issue of high transaction fees caused by the congestion of the Bitcoin network due to the popularity of Inscription and BRC-20 has been discussed within the Bitcoin developer community. On May 8, Bitcoin core developer Ali Sherief initiated a discussion on the Bitcoin development mailing list, questioning whether Bitcoin developers should take action against such "worthless" transactions, and proposed an optional solution: "introducing a runtime option to immediately remove all non-standard Taproot transactions." Currently, five developers have participated in the discussion, but most developers do not agree with this kind of "censorship." (Source link)
