Tether CTO: Bitcoin is the most free currency transfer tool in history, and BRC-20 and Ordinals have not rendered Bitcoin obsolete

ChainCatcher news, Bitfinex and Tether's Chief Technology Officer Paolo Ardoino recently stated in an interview with CoinTelegraph Italia, "The financial world created by Bitcoin is not limited to transactions on the blockchain; Bitcoin is the freest currency transmission tool ever. Bitcoin is a perfect system: it is decentralized, unstoppable, and secure."

Regarding how the recently popular BRC-20 will affect the Bitcoin network, Paolo Ardoino said, "In fact, from a security perspective, the concepts of BRC-20 and Ordinals do not render Bitcoin obsolete. Clearly, the issue we have encountered recently is that gas fees for all Bitcoin users are increasing: everyone who needs to conduct 'normal' transactions and make payments has found their transaction costs rising.

However, we cannot control how Bitcoin is used, nor can we make 'right' and 'wrong' judgments. If a feature exists, then users have the right to use it. Bitcoin will always remain secure; it is the safest solution available to us—and thanks to solutions like the Lightning Network, it still has scalability.
