Nautilus Chain launches a new Layer3 DID citizen identity, with a limited release of 100,000 free tokens
Author: Nautilus Chain
Nautilus Chain is currently the industry's first modular Layer3 institutional chain. The chain has basically completed the early testing of its testnet and is expected to launch its mainnet soon. Recently, Nautilus Chain has been very active in the market. In addition to previously holding a global tour to promote the Layer3 concept, it also collaborated with well-known partners such as Stanford Blockchain Accelerator to host the "Boundless Hackathon @Stanford" themed hackathon, attracting significant attention from the industry.
After the hackathon, Nautilus Chain launched the Layer3 DID citizenship, which serves as a Web3 identity and represents various rights. It is understood that this DID certificate is currently being issued for free, with a limited first batch of 100,000 available for collection. Users who meet the whitelist criteria can mint it for free. The launch of Layer3 DID identity is expected to lay the foundation for building new application and business scenarios in the ecosystem in the future.
What is Nautilus Chain?
The uniqueness of Nautilus Chain lies in its modular Layer3 architecture, which offers customization features. Developers can build various "independent" and parallel-running DAPP-Chains, DAPP-Rollups, or DAPP-Subnets from the ground up, allowing them to stack different chains as layers to create a chain stack without needing to revert to Layer1. Nautilus Chain plays the role of a parallel processing layer at the top, helping to achieve scalability in the execution layer within the EVM environment.
Celestia is the main foundational source for Nautilus Chain's modularity. Through Nautilus Chain, developers can directly build highly customized application layers (not limited to Rollups), while Celestia provides DA (data availability). All developers can develop customized application layers in a modular way based on the application layer solutions provided by Celestia. This also gives many developers a high degree of flexibility to ensure that their developed applications (or application layers) match their actual needs.
In addition to DA, Nautilus Chain uses Eclipse as its settlement layer. Based on Eclipse, Nautilus Chain will no longer rely on Layer1 solutions like Ethereum for system settlement. With these components, developers of Nautilus Chain can build various "independent" and parallel-running DAPP-Chains, DAPP-Rollups, or DAPP-Subnets from the ground up, allowing them to stack different chains as layers to create a chain stack without needing to revert to Layer1. Nautilus Chain plays the role of a parallel processing layer at the top, helping to achieve scalability in the execution layer within the EVM environment.
On this basis, Nautilus Chain has established a brand new DID identity system, which is expected to deeply serve various crypto ecosystems built on Nautilus Chain.
About the Layer3 DID Citizenship Launched by Nautilus Chain
Nautilus Chain has launched a total of 100,000 DIDs in the first round. Based on rights and scarcity, these DID assets are divided into three categories: SSR (5,000), SR (30,000), and R (65,000).
Nautilus Chain DID adopts a whitelist mechanism. As of June 1, 23:59:59 (UTC), users who have contributed to the Nautilus Chain Triton Testnet and active users on other chains (such as ETH, BNB Chain, Arbitrum One, Polygon, zkSync, Optimism, Avalanche) can claim it for free.
- SSR DID
The conditions for claiming different attributes of DID vary. The rarest SSR DID is mainly aimed at Zepoch holders and users holding more than 200,000 $ZBC. Nautilus Chain will take random snapshots between June 10 and June 30 to determine eligibility.
- SR DID
SR DID is mainly aimed at active users, specifically those who interact with the testnet more than 5 times a month, invite new users to the testnet refresh, and obtain all OATs from the Galxe-Nautilus Chain Triton Testnet Carnival (meeting any one of these conditions is sufficient).
Additionally, users who have interacted more than 100 times on other chains in May and those with assets greater than 5,000 USDT equivalent on other chains can also claim SR DID for free.
- R DID
R is aimed at users with SSR and SR qualifications (can be claimed after SSR/SR are fully claimed), as well as other active users on other chains invited by users.
Moreover, users who interact more than 10 times a month (from March 31 to May 31), have account assets greater than 50 USDT equivalent tokens, and hold more than 100 $ZBC on BNB Chain (daily snapshots after the activity is released) can also claim R DID.
Users who meet the above conditions can claim the corresponding DID assets for free, on a first-come, first-served basis until they are gone.
Rights of Nautilus Chain DID Citizenship
Any user holding this DID will receive related rights, including:
- Opportunities to receive multiple rounds of token and NFT airdrops within the ecosystem
- Opportunities for whitelist access to protocol mining pools without loss (SR and R DID holders will be drawn based on user activity)
- Opportunities for whitelist access to new projects launched on Nautchain (SR and R DID holders will be drawn based on user activity)
- Opportunities to participate in Nautilus ecosystem governance
- Opportunities to receive foundation investment and customized technical support as an independent DAO community
The depth of rights obtained from the above benefits varies based on the different attributes of the DID. Meanwhile, the launch of the DID is expected to help Nautilus Chain attract a large number of users, including active users and users with net worth, which is positively significant for the early launch of the Nautilus Chain ecosystem.
Currently, the DID claiming activity has been launched on Galaxy and QuestN, and eligible users can claim on these two platforms.

QuestN: https://app.questn.com/quest/787549237929275465
The Nautilus Chain mainnet is about to launch, which means the ecosystem will fully set sail, and more developers and quality projects will build the ecosystem on Nautilus Chain in a modular way. The DID is expected to become the foundation for users to participate in more application scenarios and enjoy more on-chain ecological rights, creating user identity profiles based on DID to build social graphs and obtain better Web3 services. Furthermore, as a limited asset, the DID holds value not only for users but also for projects and communities, indicating that this DID is likely to become a necessity in the near future.
