Uniswap V4 code is protected by BSL, and the launch time is affected by audits, Cancun upgrade, and other factors
ChainCatcher news, Uniswap Foundation Governance Lead Erin Koen stated in a post on the Uniswap governance forum that the V4 code is governed by the Business Source License (BSL), just like Uniswap v3, which prohibits commercial or production use of the V4 codebase unless additional usage rights are granted.
In addition, Erin Koen released the expected timeline for the V4 launch, with the protocol code announced on June 13; the freezing of the protocol code depends on the successful integration of EIP-1153 into the Cancun upgrade, which is expected to occur as early as September; the protocol code will undergo auditing before deployment, and it is currently uncertain how long the auditing process will take, with an expected range of one to four months.
He also emphasized that the above timeline is for reference only, and it should be noted that there is a possibility of delays in the Cancun upgrade, the auditing process may also be extended, and the protocol may undergo other undisclosed security tests. (source link)
