ChainCatcher News, U.S. Judge Analisa Torres stated in a pre-trial scheduling order on Tuesday that the court plans to hold a jury trial for Ripple Labs in the second quarter of next year.

Analisa Torres ordered a jury trial last month for Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and Executive Chairman Chris Larsen to determine whether they should be held liable for illegal securities sales to institutional investors who purchased XRP worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

It is reported that Torres ruled last month that some of Ripple's XRP sales did not violate securities laws because they involved a blind bidding process, meaning buyers were unaware that these sales benefited Ripple. She also ruled that other tokens sold directly to institutional investors are securities.
