PayPal appoints former Intuit executive Alex Chriss as President and CEO
ChainCatcher news, PayPal has appointed Alex Chriss, a senior executive from Intuit, as President and CEO, with the appointment effective September 27, 2023. Chriss is said to have extensive experience in technology and product leadership. Since January 2019, he has served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Intuit's Small Business and Self-Employed Group, responsible for more than half of Intuit's revenue. During Chriss's five-year leadership of the small business division, his customers and revenue grew at compound annual growth rates of 20% and 23%, respectively.
Former PayPal President and CEO Dan Schulman will continue to serve as a member of the company's board of directors until the next annual shareholder meeting in May 2024.
