ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, U.S. District Judge Analisa Torres in the Southern District of New York has granted the request from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to file an interlocutory appeal. If this motion is approved, it will allow the SEC to appeal the ruling that XRP transactions conducted through exchanges do not violate securities laws. Ripple must submit a response to the motion by September 1, and the SEC can reply by September 8. If the SEC wins its motion, it can request the appellate court to allow an appeal of the ruling.
