Fox reporter: The U.S. SEC has included cryptocurrency in its list of priorities for the 2024 exam
ChainCatcher news, Fox reporter Eleanor Terrett stated on social media that the U.S. SEC has included cryptocurrencies in its 2024 examination priorities list. Please note that most cryptocurrency companies are not registered with the SEC and therefore do not pay registration fees.
Terrett stated, "Does this indicate that U.S. SEC Chairman Gary Gensler is using the institutional resources and funds paid by registered companies to prioritize cryptocurrencies, an industry he has not yet been authorized to regulate? Or does the SEC expect more cryptocurrency companies to register with the agency in 2024?"
