The ETH Global Istanbul Hackathon has recently begun.

Several new projects are competing, and here are the 10 projects that have advanced to the final round:

  • Clade Club
  • S.C.I
  • BridgeBuddy
  • Buddy-Guard
  • Sarma
  • AidDistribute
  • TapTrust
  • Footy Stars
  • ++ZKvote.cc++
  • Lens & Frens

1. Clade Club: A fair social governance platform prioritizing data-driven decision-making

Project Link:

https://ethglobal.com/showcase/clade-club-vhgdb

Project Description:

Aims to influence DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) governance structures by addressing issues of fairness, efficiency, and transparency. Inspired by Ray Dalio's "dot collector" concept, we developed a platform that combines secondary voting, facial recognition KYC (Know Your Customer) via Worldcoin, and a unique conversation-based decision-making process.

2. S.C.I: Verifying smart contract security to prevent phishing attacks

Project Link:

https://ethglobal.com/showcase/s-c-i-0760q

Project Description:

Secure Contract Interactions is a protocol for on-chain contract-to-domain verification. It is used to verify whether the smart contract you are interacting with has been validated by the domain owner, preventing scams or phishing attacks.

3. BridgeBuddy: A wallet that automatically bridges funds

Project Link:

https://ethglobal.com/showcase/bridgebuddy-36te1

Project Description:

A chain-abstracted wallet that automatically bridges assets when needed, utilizing Hyperlane Warp Routes and Safe Core.

This project simplifies the user experience by hiding the complexities of various EVM-compatible chains. Users do not need to monitor and manage funds on each chain and complete the bridging process; the wallet consolidates and displays all assets together. If a transaction requires additional funds on a specific chain, the wallet automatically bridges the required amount before executing the transaction, achieving a seamless process through account abstraction.

4. Buddy-Guard: The community acts as your guardian

Project Link:

https://ethglobal.com/showcase/buddy-guard-1ivrj

Project Description:

A social security application developed for those who "leave groups at night" (especially single women). They can add their social groups as friend guardians, who can help monitor their whereabouts and provide support when necessary.

5. Sarma: A development tool that enables privacy

Project Link:

https://ethglobal.com/showcase/sarma-evm-zkevm-pexc-9wp7o

Project Description:

This project implements a tool called Sarma, which achieves public/private execution duality on any EVM. It can also work across multiple EVM chains. Users can write the public part of smart contracts using Solidity as usual. When private execution and addressing are needed, Sarma (an encrypted UTXO-style blob) can provide privacy. The private part of the smart contract is written in Noir.

6. AidDistribute: Transparency in humanitarian funding support

Project Link:

https://ethglobal.com/showcase/aiddistribute-vem7n

Project Description:

AidDistribute enables organizations like UNICEF to safely distribute cash and conditionally allow its expenditure.

Organizations can deposit stablecoins into a transparent treasury and mint bearer tokens, which are then distributed to designated recipients. These tokens can be seamlessly transferred to selected merchants or services, which can then redeem them for stablecoins.

Organizations can also set withdrawal limits for each merchant, ensuring equitable economic distribution among many services. AidDistribute ensures a traceable and accountable channel for direct cash transfers, enhancing the transparency, efficiency, and direct impact of humanitarian aid efforts.

7. TapTrust: A new event experience based on AA and NFC technology

Project Link:

https://ethglobal.com/showcase/taptrust-12smv

Project Description:

TapTrust revolutionizes the participation experience at offline events by leveraging NFC technology and Ethereum's account abstraction. Each participant receives a new NFC chip with a unique key pair, allowing them to interact with Ethereum transactions even without Ether, ensuring seamless active participation while protecting their privacy. This innovative approach provides each user with a new private address, maintaining anonymity while facilitating transparent event interactions.

TapTrust is not just an entry tool; it is a gateway to a new era of privacy-centered decentralized event experiences, where every click is a secure, anonymous link to the blockchain world.

8. Footy Stars: On-chain version of "Football Manager"

Project Link:

https://ethglobal.com/showcase/footy-stars-zw8ug

Project Description:

FootyStars is the world's first verified football simulator, paving the way for immersive fantasy football matches involving real-world stakes. For the first time ever, Fantasy Football is no longer just a game; it has finally become a true football manager simulator.

Provable simulation: The match results are "trustless," meaning anyone can verify the simulation's correctness by cross-referencing the simulated outcomes. Generated ZKP from off-chain zkML.

9. ZKvote.cc: On-chain voting system powered by ZKP

Project Link:

https://ethglobal.com/showcase/zk-vote-9ipgt

Project Description:

Blockchain-based election systems often face two issues: user anonymity and the uniqueness of votes. Traditional witch resistance solutions often rely on multi-signature wallets, compromising anonymity.

This project allows a voting system where users can verify their voting capability using verifiable private credentials through ZKP.

10. Lens & Frens: A zero-knowledge proof ticketing system based on Lens

Project Link:

https://ethglobal.com/showcase/lens-and-frens-ogedp

Project Description:

A friendly zero-knowledge (zk) ticketing system that is part of the DevConnect login framework. Here, users create tickets on the blockchain, meaning each ticket is secure and can be verified no matter where it is minted;

According to the project developers, we like to view these different chains as our "friends" without exposing privacy.

Additionally, the project emphasizes community, integrating a method to verify Lens Protocol profiles, allowing ticket holders to prove who they are through decentralized social media accounts on the Lens platform.
