Sei blockchain will add support for the Ethereum Virtual Machine in the V2 upgrade

ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, Sei Labs is planning to add Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) support in the Sei V2 upgrade. The planned upgrade will allow Ethereum-based contracts to be ported and used on the network. The upgrade is expected to be launched in the first half of 2024.

Sei Labs revealed that it has developed a dedicated interface to facilitate interaction between Sei's existing smart contract components (based on CosmWasm technology) and EVM components.
