SBF's lawyer: Winning the FTX fraud trial is "almost impossible."
ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, the lawyer responsible for SBF's criminal trial defense admitted that the case was "almost impossible" to win from the start. In a one-on-one interview with Bloomberg, Stanford Law School professor David Mills discussed how Bankman-Fried's reluctance to follow his advice and the harsh testimony from his former colleagues put the FTX founder in a difficult position. The report also outlined how David Mills suggested that SBF's legal defense should acknowledge the accusations from the witnesses and the state prosecution, and attempted to persuade the main jury to believe that SBF intended to save the company from bankruptcy.
David Mills described SBF as "the worst person I have ever seen being interrogated." Additionally, it was revealed that at the request of FTX CEO's parents, he agreed to use his expertise to defend SBF. It is understood that David Mills is a close friend of Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried and took on the case pro bono.
