New Paradigm is a liquidity incentive program launched by the Manta public chain within the Manta ecosystem. Similar to the Blast liquidity staking introduced by Blur recently, users can stake their funds to receive future token airdrop rewards.
Note: The Manta public chain is the first built on Celeasita's ETH L2.
Compared to Blast, New Paradigm has the advantage of a rich ecosystem of projects and a shorter payback period, with users able to receive token airdrops as early as January 2024.
Additionally, the Manta public chain itself has received an investment of $60 million from leading institutions such as Binance Labs and Polychain Capital, achieving a $500 million valuation in the primary market.
01 Expected Rewards
The expected rewards for the activity include the following parts:
- After cross-chain transferring ETH and USDC to the Manta ecosystem, similar to Blast, even if the assets remain idle, they will continuously generate around 5% interest;
- Participate in the activity by staking assets to receive future token airdrops;
- Engage with projects within the Manta ecosystem to gain potential airdrop opportunities from those projects;
- After staking ETH and USDC, the obtained Stone and wUSDM can be used to participate in projects within the Manta ecosystem, such as lending projects, to earn the returns provided by those projects.
02 Gameplay Explanation
Basic Logic
Total rewards: 3% (basic reward) + 2% (additional reward) + 1.5% (ecosystem reward) = 6.5%
Users stake ETH or USDC to receive blind box fragment rewards. The fragments can be exchanged for blind boxes, and the NFTs obtained from opening blind boxes can be exchanged for future token airdrops.
Initial Rewards
High-quality users can receive different amounts of blind box fragments as initial rewards based on their ratings.
If there are initial rewards available and users wish to receive them, they need to deposit 0.25 ETH or an equivalent amount in USDC to activate their wallet and obtain an invitation code.
If there are no initial rewards, a minimum deposit of 0.01 ETH or an equivalent amount in USDC is required to activate the wallet and obtain an invitation code.
Reward Calculation
If a user stakes 1 ETH, they can receive 25 blind box fragments every 7 days. 25 blind box fragments can be combined into 1 blind box, and 1 blind box can yield 1 NFT.
Note that this activity differs from Blast; due to the short duration of the activity, funding deposits will stop in January. Therefore, it is unlikely to accumulate enough fragments for 1 NFT by extending the timeline with small amounts.
Invitation System
After the first deposit, users can receive 8 invitation codes. The inviter and invitee form a group, and when the group's funds reach 5 ETH, they can receive an additional 5 invitation codes. When they reach 20 ETH, they can receive 1 permanent invitation code.
Inviters can earn two levels of rewards, which are 16% and 8%. For example, if A invites B and B invites C, A can earn 16% from B and 8% from C, increasing the activity's spread.
Acceleration and Efficiency Bonus
If users initially deposit a larger amount of assets, the 7-day waiting period will be reduced, and they may even directly receive the first week's fragment rewards, but the acceleration effect is only available once.
The more funds the group stakes, the more blind box fragments they will earn in each cycle.
Additional Rewards
The default 3% reward is distributed to holders of 6 types of NFTs. If users want to receive an additional 2% reward, they can combine the 6 types of NFTs into a super rare NFT, which will grant the holder a 2% token reward.
The 6 types of NFTs can be obtained by participating in the activity or bought and sold in the market.
Additionally, users who interact with Manta ecosystem projects (Dex, Lending, providing LP, etc.) can also receive a 1.5% token reward. See the link below for Manta ecosystem projects.

Key Dates
As early as January 2024, users can exchange the NFTs they obtain for token rewards;
69 days after receiving token rewards, users can unlock and transfer their staked ETH and USDC from the Manta ecosystem.

Initial Reward Activation
If initial rewards are available, the following congratulations interface will appear, and depositing the corresponding funds will activate the rewards.
If there are no initial rewards, the following interface will appear, prompting users to switch wallets and try again.
The funds here are transferred from the mainnet to the Manta network. Pay attention to the mainnet GAS fees when depositing funds.
After depositing, ETH will be converted to Stone, and USDC will be converted to wUSDM. If there is no GAS for subsequent interactions, a third-party bridge can be used to cross to the Manta network, which will save GAS.
Note that to participate in the activity, funds must be deposited through the activity page to receive blind box fragments. However, subsequent GAS needed for interactions in the Manta ecosystem can be crossed using a third-party bridge.

Activity Interface Overview
Here, since the deposited funds are less than 1 ETH, only 0.27 ETH, the cycle time of 7 days is extended to (1/0.27) x 7 = 25.9 days, approximately 25 days and 22 hours for one cycle.
This means that users can earn 6 fragments each week, and after 25 days and 22 hours, the fragments can be used to synthesize a blind box.
This is also why it was mentioned above that if the funds are too small, it may not be possible to synthesize a blind box before the end of the activity. However, some aggressive strategies will be introduced below to help small funds speed up this process, though the risks are also higher, so choose according to personal circumstances.
Strategy Introduction
Conservative Play (Buy Stone + LP + Lending)
After depositing ETH, many users may sell their Stone to withdraw funds for more aggressive operations. At this point, the price of Stone will definitely decouple from ETH, but as assets unlock in the future, the price of Stone is likely to gradually align with ETH. We can buy Stone at a low price and wait for a stable increase.

As shown in the image, the current price of Stone is only 0.89 ETH. After buying, we can wait for the price to return to 1 ETH.
At the same time, after depositing ETH, we can also take the obtained Stone to Quickswap to form LP for fee income or deposit funds into the lending platform Layerbank to earn lending rewards and the additional 1.5% ecosystem reward from Manta.

Aggressive Play (Sell Stone and Cycle Deposit ETH)
Sell Stone directly on Quickswap for ETH, use a cross-chain bridge to withdraw, and then deposit again to earn more fragment rewards with small funds.
However, note that due to the continuous selling of Stone, there is already nearly an 11% wear and tear. If you believe that future airdrops cannot cover this wear and tear, then this operation is not recommended.
