Arkham: Governments' wallets currently hold $17.8 billion in Bitcoin
ChainCatcher news, Arkham data shows that multiple governments hold a large amount of Bitcoin, totaling approximately $17.8 billion at current market prices. The U.S. government holds the largest share of Bitcoin, with an estimated value of $12 billion, while the UK government holds about $3.3 billion worth of Bitcoin. Germany holds approximately $2.2 billion in Bitcoin, and El Salvador has a Bitcoin treasury worth $314 million. The country became the first to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender in 2021.
