U.S. Senator: Nearly half of the CFTC enforcement cases involve cryptocurrencies
ChainCatcher news, according to Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett, U.S. Senator Cory Booker pointed out that nearly half of the enforcement cases by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) are related to cryptocurrencies, a proportion that is "unusual."
In response, CFTC Chairman Rostin Behnam stated that the CFTC needs to regulate a market over which it has no jurisdiction and has not received funding, which poses a significant challenge for the agency and puts both markets at risk.
