Ripple will launch a new token standard MPT on the XRP Ledger this month

ChainCatcher news, according to The Crypto Basic, Ripple will launch a new token standard "MPT" on the XRP Ledger this month, aimed at enhancing its support for Real World Assets (RWA).

Ripple's DeFi product lead Jasmine Cooper explained that MPT is specifically designed for RWA and can store metadata directly with the assets. This integration enhances the scalability and flexibility of XRPL, making it more suitable for institutional use cases and lowering the entry barrier for these organizations.
