Ripple CEO: Stablecoin RLUSD will be launched in the coming weeks
ChainCatcher news, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse stated during a fireside chat at Korea Blockchain Week that the company will launch its new stablecoin in "weeks, not months." Garlinghouse also criticized SEC Chairman Gary Gensler's stance on cryptocurrency, calling OpenSea's situation "unfortunate." The Ripple CEO expressed that he is more "optimistic" about the future of cryptocurrency over the next five years than ever before.
When asked about a potential IPO, Garlinghouse said, "The SEC approved Coinbase to go public in the U.S., and now the SEC is suing Coinbase for the same reasons. When entrepreneurs consult me about starting a cryptocurrency company, my first piece of advice is: don't register your company in the U.S. It will only lead to more legal troubles."
