El Salvador's "Bitcoin Immigrant" visa program public records show no visas issued, raising questions

ChainCatcher news, according to Bitcoin.com News, a public record obtained by the local media "El Mundo" shows that El Salvador's "Bitcoin Immigration" program does not match the number of visas issued as announced on official social media. The program aims to attract wealthy investors willing to donate $1 million in Bitcoin or USDT to reside in El Salvador, with a goal of issuing at least 1,000 passports and raising $1 billion.

However, the immigration authority stated that no passports have been issued, which contradicts reports on social media that at least two families have obtained visas.
